COURSE MAPS

Swim

Serpentine pattern: THESE PHOTOS ARE FROM THE OLD RUTH INCH POOL. We don’t have a photo of the new pool yet, but please familiarize yourself with swimming up a lane, then ducking under the buoy line and swimming back down the next. Repeat for your number of laps.

The AQUATIC CENTRE has an 8 lane lap pool. We have rented out all 8 lanes for 2 hours.
Try-A-Tri number of laps: 16 lengths of pool  = 1 full circuit of the pool

Sprint number of laps: 32 lengths of pool = 2 full circuits of the pool

Participants will have a staggered start, and enter the pool, swimming down the lane on the right. Turn around and swim back along the same lane (staying on your right). When you get back to the same end of the pool as you started, you will swim under the buoy line and go down the right side of the next lane. Then repeat, swimming back, going under and so on and so forth. When you reach the last buoy lane, you will exit the pool and walk back to the starting lane and re-enter.  If you need to pass a swimmer, go left around them, but beware of oncoming swimmers coming back down the lane.

PLEASE NOTE COURSES MAY CHANGE DUE TO CONSTRUCTION.
