2025 Dettah Ice Road Run
April 6, 2025 – Walk/run/ski/bike/kick sled/roll- with Yellowknife Multisport Club!
This event will be an in person event with the option of running the full ice road length (13km) or turning back at any point.
This event will start at the ice road entrance near Rotary Park. Hot beverages and snacks will be available at Rotary Park during the event. The “run” will start at 10am and organizers/volunteers will pack up no later than 1:30pm.
As usual please note this is a fun non-competitive event!
When running be sure to:
- bring a phone with you for emergency,
- plan proper fueling (food/water),
- dress for the conditions, proper footwear being extremely important,
- Watch out for and stay clear of all wildlife,
- DO NOT use headphones,
- Wear bright and visible clothing!
- Please wear layers/wind resistant clothing/weather appropriate gear
The only requirement is that you participate and have a good time. Run for a PB, walk with a dog or just have a nice day out celebrating how awesome we/you are!!

Cost: $20 (participants aged 17** and under are free – a parent or guardian must sign the waiver)
Check in/Start Line:
In Person – 10 AM START TIME – arrive any time before 10am. Do whatever distance you feel comfortable doing.
Finish line:
Finish at the start line – Yellowknife ice road entrance. Track your own time/distance for the event.
Sorry, no refunds. If the event is cancelled due to weather/ice road conditions, you may use your payment as a credit for a future event.
