FAQ

Can I do the race as a team/tandem?

Yes, you can do this race solo, with a partner (i.e. both partners bike, canoe and run together) or as a relay team of three. All team members must sign-in before the race.

How do I transport my gear?

You bring your boat to the Cassidy Point boat launch before the start of the race (please allow 40 minutes before the start of the race to get your boat in position). Your bike will be transported back to the start point by race volunteers. Volunteers will be on hand at Cassidy Point, YK River Bridge and the start point to keep an eye on bikes, backpacks and boats.

Do I need a helmet/lifejacket?

Bike helmets and PFDs are mandatory. You are responsible for your own safety on the water; we do not have rescue capability. Standard safety equipment (paddle float and pump for kayaks, bailer for canoes) is highly recommended.

Can I run Tartan Rapids?

No. Everyone must portage around Tartan Rapids (less than 150m).
